Visit the Renwick Gallery today to see workshops and demos on quilting!

Today at the Smithsonian American Art Museum's Renwick Gallery artist Barbara Pietila will conduct a quilting workshop from 10:30 A.M. to 3 P.M. Call 202-357-2531 to reserve a place in this fun workshop intended for adults and children over twelve years of age.

In addition to the workshop, artist Sandra Smith will lead a quilting demonstration from 1 P.M. to 4 P.M. (no reservations required).

These artists' works are featured in Sprits of the Cloth: Contemporary Quilts by African American and Artists as well as Amish Quilts from the Collection of Faith and Stephen Brown, both on view at the Renwick through January 21, 2001.

The Renwick Gallery is located at 17th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W., across from the White House.
