Let Freedom Fly!
The thirty-sixth annual Smithsonian Kite Festival celebrates the American spirit this year with its patriotic theme "Let Freedom Fly."
If you are in Washington, D.C., today, come to the grounds of the Washington Monument and watch kite enthusiasts paint the sky with their own brand of performance art!
There is a contest for handmade kites, demonstrations by kite-flying masters, and colorful displays by kite organizations. You can even attend a kite making workshop. Learn more at the official Website http://kitefestival.org/welcome.htm.
