If you cannot visit Washington, D.C., then meet a woodturner in our online video! Stoney Lamar, a sculptor from western North Carolina, works at his lathe and finds inspiration. When he turns wood, he sees the spinning motion of the artwork, which he tries to translate into the static form using elegant lines such as circles and arcs. Lamar's beautiful, timeless works are shown in the context of other pieces from the American wood turning movement.
