Trust is the main idea behind today's artwork by María Castagliola. For A Matter of Trust, María collected secrets from friends and family in sealed envelopes to be sewn into a quilt. She promised never to open the envelopes and reveal the secrets, since that would destroy their trust. María also saw this piece as a way women support each other. She chose the form of a quilt to represent this ideal of feminine bonding.
