Bring the Family—For Free!
Enjoy Native American music and make beaded jewelry in today's activities at the Renwick Gallery!
From noon to 2:00 P.M., join Eagle Whistles, a five member Native American drumming and singing group, as they perform traditional songs and dances in the Grand Salon. From 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M., join Emil Her Many Horses (Oglala Sioux) from the National Museum of the American Indian for a demonstration of traditional Native American beading techniques, and then make a beaded necklace of your own.
These events are scheduled in conjunction with our exhibition George Catlin and His Indian Gallery. The Renwick Gallery is located at Pennsylvania Avenue and 17th Street N.W., across the street from the White House. Please see our program calendar for more events.
