The Big Countdown

The bargain-hunters in today's scene are crowed in a typical, last-minute holiday shopping frenzy. For his subjects, Kenneth Miller looked to 14th Street and Union Square in New York City. His sales girls and shoppers seem frozen in space, the forms of their bodies described in terms of interlocking ovals that are contained within carefully conceived contour lines.
