Spring is Sprung!
Although it may not feel quite like it yet, spring officially begins today in the Northern Hemisphere, as we pass the vernal equinox.
Celebrate while thinking spring thoughts and enjoying this painting by Milton Avery, featured in our traveling exhibition Modernism & Abstraction.
Milton Avery may have found the subject for this painting in the area around Provincetown, Massachusetts, where he often vacationed. But this work seems to be less about a specific landscape than about a season's soft glowing light and refreshing colors.
