Any questions?
Bruce Naumann
"Art should raise questions."
Several readers identified Georgia O'Keeffe as their favorite artist. "I like the simplicity and the way she draws the viewer into the details of her subjects. I especially admire her flower studies." Another reader seconded that opinion, "I like most of her work (not the skulls as much as the flowers), but my favorite is the Poppies. Its vibrant red-orange can brighten any mood!"
And, yes, we are chauvinists about American art, but occasionally non-Americans slip onto these pages. At least one reader favors a Russian-born artist. "Marc Chagall his paintings are so whimsical, they turn the everyday into magic and make me believe I can grasp mystery. "
