Moon Day
Thirty-one years ago today astronauts first walked on the moon's surface. In honor of this historic event, we present a moon-inspired sculpture. Surrealist artist Joseph Cornell featured a lunar map in this ethereal construction titled Soap Bubble Set in 1949, a time when trips to the moon were the stuff of science fiction.
