
Walk In Historic Halls
Tour the Smithsonian American Art Museum's Renwick Gallery and learn more about its illustrious history.Public Programs Coordinator Allen Bassing leads a tour at 1 p.m. today that examines the history of the Renwick Gallery's beautifully refurbished period settings, including the Grand Salon, hallway, and the Octagon Room.
Thomas Moran's Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone (shown here) is one of more than 150 nineteenth-century paintings now displayed in the luxurious Grand Salon.
The Renwick Gallery is located at 17th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, across from the White House.
