Trapp will discuss "The Art of the Useful Container" from 10:00 A.M. to noon in the Renwick Gallery's Grand Salon. This lecture is the first of a three-part series in which the technical and aesthetic principles of functional clay art will be addressed.

Parts two and three of the series will take place at the same time on June 2 and June 16.

The Renwick Gallery is located at 17th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue NW, across from the White House.
