On this day in 1969 the Internet was created.Data flowed between computers at University of California, Los Angeles and the Stanford Research Institute, forming the first connection in what would later become the Internet. Since then the Internet has expanded to connect more than 400 million users worldwide and to include functions such as email, real-time chat, file transfer, and the World Wide Web.
