Frankfurters-Hamburgers
I am originally from Brooklyn, New York. I find myself returning there every so often to search for images. I did Frankfurters- Hamburgers in the 1970s (note the prices!). Long before I became a painter, I would pass this building on my way to and from school on the bus. I respond to the overall texture created by lettering that covers the entire structure and to the imposing thrust of the marquee into the viewer's space.
