At one time, this Fox movie theater marquee would have been common in many parts of the country. By now, most of these elaborate neon structures have disappeared. I photographed this one in Inglewood, California, during the early 1970s while I was living in the Los Angeles area.I created this lithograph at Chicago's Landfall Press in 1973 at the same time I made Hot. Reversing my usual procedure, I produced a print of the image first, then executed the painting years later.
