This is the only lithograph in my Facades series that does not contain any letters. It is also one of the few New York signs I could actually use as subject matter.My problem with the city was that many potential subjects would be blocked from sunlight by the surrounding buildings. Without sunlight, I would lose the cast shadows that are an integral component of my picures.
This print was first conceived as a holiday party invitation.
