Among the most effective graphics ever produced for this zoo, the strong outline of this crouched animal was drawn by Carken, a postermaker working in
the Chicago office of the Federal Art Project. Although little is known about the maker, this poster's technical brilliance and effective communication are typical of the art produced in this workshop.
