Biography

John V. Snow is an ice fisherman and wood-carver from northern Michigan. He creates realistic fish decoys known as streamliners, which have curved bodies that move easily through the water (Art and Brad Kimball, Fish Decoys of the Lac du Flambeau Ojibway, 1988). He starts fishing with a small hole in the ice and a small decoy; as the ice melts, he switches to larger decoys to attract bigger fish.
