Artwork Description

Paul Manship designed this medal for the Art Director’s Club of New York, which was founded 1920 to promote the relatively new profession of art direction in American publishing. Art directors craft the “look” of magazines and journals through advertising, graphic design, illustration and photography, and this medal is awarded annually to recognize achievements in the field.
