Luce Center Quote

“I like to play games with pattern.” June Schwarcz, American Craft, 1981

Luce Center Label

June Schwarcz uses electroplating and enameling to create colorful textured vessels. She applied the plique-à-jour technique to the surface of Bowl #804. This process does not involve metal backing and allows light to shine through to create a stained-glass effect.
