Around 1970, Arline Fisch began to study textiles, imagining how they would look in metal. She experimented with weaving metals in a variety of traditional methods including knitting, crocheting, and lacemaking. Spirit Box Brooch weaves gold into textures and depths that are heightened as light reflects from it at different angles.
