Artwork Description

Pond Dreamer is part of Michael Lucero's Dreamers series of large sleeping heads painted to show their dreams. The artist has cut away the top of the head to allow the dreamer's thoughts to spill out onto his face. A large blue and green swirling pond resembling a fingerprint dominates the busy surface of the sculpture. Lucero's Pond Dreamer contrasts the apparent serenity of the sleeping face with the activity painted on the surface.
