Artwork Description

Byron Temple based this teapot around his favorite shape, the cylinder, simply adding a spout, lid, and spiraling metal handle. He left the lid and base of the pot unglazed, while the rest is covered in a rich dark hue. This teapot exemplifies the marriage of beauty and function that Temple strove for in his work.
