Artwork Description

The Tension series was actually inspired by Eva Eisler’s fascination with bridges. She admires the beauty of their physical construction as well as the metaphor they offer of connecting one thing to another, harking back to Eisler’s education at the Bauhaus. The invisibility of the connecting pieces allows the artist to suggest another kind of “tension” in the viewer, who might wonder how the pieces hold together.
