How does creating meaning in a work of art—using disparate found objects—mirror the process of assemblage?

Students will assess objects collected from junk drawers for meaning, analyze artists’ processes of creating meaning, and explore various combinations of objects. Students will create an artwork and critique the concept of subjectivity in meaning.
