Lois Conner

Familiar rocks and surf comprise an image Conner made on a visit to Santa Cruz, California. The rocky masses represent stability against the constantly pounding surf. Conner uses a large format camera to make her platinum prints and then prints directly from the contact sheet, allowing a greater richness of detail to emerge.
