This print is from the Sudbury River Series, which tells the story of a Massachusetts town’s devotion to its river. Sudbury Valley Land Trust chose to commemorate its fortieth anniversary with an exhibition of Gohlke’s photographs that glorifies the reality of the river, rather than romanticizing it.
