Joe Maloney

Maloney immortalizes the Delaware River in the series from which this photograph is taken. Making the most of the subtleties available from modern film, the artist produces deeply saturated greens and yellows and a clear set of reflections at the water’s edge. The late fall or early spring light in New York’s Catskill Mountains seems to bleach the hillside and the bare tree limbs along the river bank.
