Terry Evans began to explore her native Kansas landscape in 1978. Inspired by the abundant variety of plants found in the prairie, she returned at different times of year to understand unique seasonal rhythms of the grasslands. Moving from color-saturated photographs taken at ground level, to sweeping views shot from a plane, Evans’s work investigates complex systems that define the prairie’s ecology.
