Even though both sides of a stencil share the same hole, the silkscreen print will look quite different depending on how the stencil is taped to the frame. Joan Lawrence attaches the frame and prepares the screen for the first run (QuickTime 0:48).

The stencil is held firmly in place with white ink (QuickTime 0:43).

The screen is now ready for printing the first color run.
