Offset Lithography (page 5)
working press

A typical single color offset press consists of, in the simplest form, a plate cylinder, a blanket cylinder, and an impression cylinder. The inking rollers distribute the ink uniformly over the plate and the water fountain rollers moisten the plate.

Multiple colors are accomplished by changing the color of the ink in the press and running the paper through the press again for each additional color, or by multiple systems in a row that are like the single color press, but each with a different color.
