Cunningham combined fanciful elements from various places and times into brilliantly painted landscapes and seascapes. Here he envisioned an idyllic summer camp of the Seminole Indians in Florida's Everglades, with lush vegetation, vividly colored tropical birds, and canoes and a sailboat afloat on a peaceful pond.
