Rare Ashleaf Maple Spheroid
Albert Paley Currently used for official occasions involving a small number of guests, the family dining room was particularly suited for two exquisite pieces from the collection, Albert Paley's wrought-iron candlesticks and Edward Moulthrop's maple bowl.

Edward Moulthrop Pictorial elements found in the 1902 portrait of Edith Caron Roosevelt by Theobald Chartran suggested the placement of these objects on the sideboard. The handle of Mrs. Roosevelt's parasol is repeated by the diagonal spears of Paley's candlesticks, while the bowl echoes the oval frame that contains the portrait.
