The Vermeil Room, sometimes called the Gold Room, serves as a display room, and for formal occasions, as a ladies sitting room.

The portrait of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis was painted by Aaron Shikler in 1970. The tall and elegant portrayal of Mrs. Onassis is similar to the treatment of these ceramic bottle forms by Michael Sherrill. A studio potter living in North Carolina, Sherrill is known for his highly stylized and exaggerated teapots, vases, and bottles in brilliant colors.
