SAAM’s Renwick Gallery opened to the public Nov. 13, 2015 after a two-year, major renovation that included completely renewed infrastructure, enhanced historic features and other upgrades that have made the National Historic Landmark building a 21st-century destination attraction. Westlake Reed Leskosky was the architectural design and engineering firm and Consigli Construction Co., Inc. was the general construction contractor.
A centerpiece of the reopening was the special exhibition, WONDER, featuring site-specific installations by nine major contemporary artists.
Photographs of the Renwick Gallery spaces, both historical and contemporary, and installation views of WONDER can be downloaded for use in media coverage of the Renwick Gallery only from the Images link in the Press Room. Email americanartpressoffice[at]si.edu for the password.
