For Kids and Teachers
Outdoor sculpture is art and history that everyone can enjoy every day. To highlight America’s outdoor sculpture, we have developed some educational resources:
- Public Sculpture: America’s Legacy is a multimedia kit geared for secondary schools (grades seven through twelve). This kit was developed by the Smithsonian American Art Museum and designed under the auspices of the National Arts and Humanities Education Program. To order, call Crystal Productions at (800) 255-8629 and ask for item CP-6048.
- Inside Outdoor Sculpture (PDF) takes a hands-on approach to studying outdoor sculpture. This interdisciplinary booklet is designed primarily for students nine to fourteen years old, teachers, and other educators.
- SOS! 4 Kids is an interactive Web site that helps elementary and middle-school children to understand and appreciate sculpture.
