WARHOLAPALOOZA

All Ages -All day: Make a piece of art in the style of Andy Warhol and Marcel Duchamp in the Kogod Courtyard from noon to 3 p.m. and in the Portrait Gallery Education Center from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. -12:15 p.m. Book reading in the Kogod Courtyard with James Warhola, Andy Warhol’s nephew and author of "Uncle Andy's: A Faabbbulous Visit with Andy Warhol," followed by a book signing in the G Street lobby. The book may be purchased at the museum bookstore. -2:30 p.m. Reel Portraits: Callie Angell presents Andy Warhol’s Screen Tests. Callie Angell, a noted Warhol scholar, will conduct a conversation and book signing after the audience views the motion-picture portraits Warhol created of Marcel Duchamp, Lou Reed, Edie Sedgwick and Kenneth Jay Lane. Angell will be signing copies of "Andy Warhol Screen Tests: The Films of Andy Warhol Catalogue Raisonné," volume one, following the screening. No tickets or reservations required. Nan Tucker McEvoy Auditorium; doors open at 2:00; seating is first come, first served. -5:00 p.m. New Yorker art critic Calvin Tomkins in conversation with Portrait Gallery associate curator of prints and drawings Anne Goodyear. Calvin Tomkins has been a staff writer and art critic for the New Yorker since 1960. He has written profiles on Andy Warhol, Marcel Duchamp, Georgia O’Keeffe and Frank Stella, among many others.
