Recent Director's Circle Program

Recent Director's Circle Dinner

We invite you to become a Director's Circle member and enjoy the opportunity to network with arts, civic, and business leaders from across the nation. This dedicated group shares a deep interest in American art, and their membership contributions help to fund innovative museum educational programs.

Benefits include two invitations to an exclusive dinner with distinguished speakers. Last November, approximately eighty museum friends and members gathered at the Renwick Gallery for the annual Director's Circle Dinner. The evening began with cocktails in the galleries where guests viewed and discussed contemporary crafts with Director Elizabeth Broun. The evening's highlight was the delightful presentation on Tiffany and fashion by John Loring, design director of Tiffany & Co., followed by dinner in the Grand Salon. Past speakers include artist William Christenberry, architect Hugh Newell Jacobsen, and former CIA Director R. James Woolsey. Director's Circle members also receive invitations to exhibition previews, catalogues, discounts at Smithsonian shops, and more!

To become a member of the Director's Circle, please contact the Development Office. We will send you a personal invitation and registration card. Please join today!
