During the 1960s Rev. Howard Finster began building "Paradise Garden," an ever-changing environment around his home in Summerville, Georgia, as a living "memorial to God." In addition to constructions made from television and bicycle parts, Finster posted signs with Biblical inscriptions. This "sign" confirms Finster's belief in the ultimate salvation of man.
