Lunder Conservation Center

At SAAM’s Lunder Conservation Center, visitors have the unique opportunity to see conservators at work throughout the laboratories and studios. The Center features floor-to-ceiling glass walls, allowing the public to view all aspects of conservation—work that is traditionally done behind the scenes at other institutions.

Visit Us

We’re located next to the Luce Center on the third floor of SAAM.

Visitors can learn more about conservation work through our audio tour. Listen to SAAM’s art conservators discuss how they preserve and treat artworks from the museum’s collection.

Visitors can access these stories by using the camera on their smartphone to scan a QR code located on signage throughout the Center.
