| This artist is known for her ability to create a painterly flow of color by combining a multitude of printed fabrics in soft, subtle hues. Dales made this quilt during an intense period of mourning following her mother's death. The tears cascading down the right side symbolize her feelings of grief and loss, and the ethereal figure floating above the starry heavens represents the human spirit. |
