| Known for his love of classical pottery forms such as the kylix (a shallow, footed bowl with side handles) and the oinochoe (a tall vessel with an elongated neck and single handle), Marioni fashions hot glass into graceful, symmetrically articulate forms. While the shapes of these vessels join a centuries-old tradition, their shocking color palette, limited to intensely saturated chrome yellow with black accents, suggests the era in which they were created. |
