Luce Center Label

Eugenie Keefer Bell made Allegory while she was a graduate student at San Diego State University. She employed the anodizing process, using electrical current to coat the titanium with an oxide to give this piece its blue-and-white cloud effect. This brooch, which resembles a bird or a spacecraft against the sky, might be an “allegory” of flight.
