Artwork Description

John Jordan has set richly colored pink ivory into the lid of this bleached vessel. He experiments with different methods of carving to achieve a wide variety of surface textures, as here in Lidded Jar, which evokes woven fabric or fiber with delicate lines circling its pale form.
