Artwork Description
The American Numismatic Society issued a Paul Revere Sesquicentennial Medal in 1925 to mark the 150th anniversary of the start of the Revolutionary War. This bronze artist’s sample represents the obverse of the true medal. Paul Revere stands with his horse across the harbor from Boston, looking toward the church steeple where he will hang his lantern to signal the arrival of British forces.
