It's Wayne Thiebaud's 90th birthday. So, let's break out the cake and the party favors and celebrate a favorite artist, whose depictions of cakes and other yummy delights, have dazzled us for decades. And for a little extra incentive, this Saturday American Art's "Food in Art Family Day" will let you decorate your own apron and pick up a recipe for frosting inspired by Thiebaud’s pastel cakes and pies. Other food-related activities include a scavenger hunt through the galleries. The festivities begin at 11:30 a.m. in the Kogod Courtyard @ American Art and run through 3:00 p.m.
