Beyond the Studio Virtual Workshop: Watercolor with Rose Jaffe
Venture beyond the studio with the Smithsonian American Art Museum for this engaging virtual workshop.
Learn how to prep, carve, and print spectacular custom designs during this virtual workshop with DC-based painter, printmaker, and muralist Rose Jaffe. Jaffe is an artist dedicated to harnessing the power of creativity to find connections, build community, spark conversation, and create social change. She has become well known for her eye-catching murals across the United States, and she has created over twenty murals in DC, including the popular portrait of Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Her work has been featured by The Washington Post, Washington City Paper, NBC, and CNN.
Please note that space is limited for this program and registration is required. Participants must register by 7 p.m. ET on Sunday, October 24.
Materials kit includes:
- Speedball Block Printing Starter kit
- Mixed media paper
- Tracing paper
- Small piece of plexiglass
Participants will need to provide their own sketch paper, pencil, and tape.
