Artwork Description

The sphere is a recurring theme in Todd Hoyer's work. He enjoys working with its pure form and applies precise details to evoke lines of longitude and latitude. Hoyer carved Suspended Sphere Series from a single piece of wood and then applied different textures to present an illusion of separate pieces precariously balanced.
