Schedule a Group Tour

As a public health precaution, to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, in-person group tours at SAAM and the Renwick Gallery are restricted.  

  • Timed entry passes for large groups are not available  
  • No tour bus groups may reserve passes.  
  • We are currently not offering in-person docent-led group tours. Visitors may use their smartphone to access a QR code via signage in the museum for a self-guided tour. Virtual tours may be requested with a 3-4 week notice from the desired date. Please fill out our tour request form for all virtual tours. School Group Tours

As a public health precaution, to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, in-person school tours at SAAM or the Renwick Gallery are suspended. Free interactive classroom videoconference options are available for students in K-12.  SAAM’s virtual learning program is lead by our team of educators and offers students in both the DMV area and around the world with highly interactive, inquiry-driven, object-centered lesson plans that explore a range of topics aligned with national curriculum standards. To learn more about SAAM’s virtual classroom offerings, visit our program page. If you are from outside the Washington, DC metro area please book your lesson, by contacting Rebecca Fulcher at FulcherR@si.edu or call (202) 633-8537. If your school is in the DC metro region please fill out our tour request form. Please note docent-led virtual tour reservations must be made 3-4 weeks in advance.
