Artwork Description

There are many unidentified portraits in the Hiram Powers collection. Portrait of a Girl may show the daughter of Henry A. Dyke, a wool merchant from New York. Portrait of a Lady was probably modeled in 1867 and could be of Mrs. George Martin, a patron of Powers.
