Some noteworthy events this week: a lecture by New Yorker cartoonist Matthew Diffee, a discussion with glass artist Beth Lipman at the Renwick (Pennsylvania Avenue at 17th Street, NW), and a screening of Seven Days in May.

Events for the week of May 7, 2007:

  • Tuesday, May 8, 2007: Create your own sketchbook in the Luce Center. We hold this event every week, and there are quite a few repeat visitors!
  • Wednesday: Behind the Scenes at the Lunder Conservation Center.
  • Thursday: One of my all time favorite movies Seven Days in May screens in the McEvoy Auditorium. Also, A Closer Look, an informal talk about an object or two in the Luce Center, and "Face to Face," another chat focusing on a work from the National Portrait Gallery.
  • Friday: At the Renwick Gallery (Pennsylvania Avenue at 17th Street, NW) meet glass artist Beth Lipman, whose work is on view at the Renwick Craft Invitational.
  • Saturday: A discussion with New Yorker cartoonist Matthew Diffee.

As always, make sure you check the program calendar for last minute changes.
